Toronto, Canada – In a fan-favorite franchise cinematic revival, Netflix has announced that it will be creating an anime adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s renowned graphic novel series, Scott Pilgrim. The exciting news for fans of the cult classic film, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, is that the entire original cast will be returning to voice their beloved characters.
The stellar ensemble cast, including Michael Cera as the titular character Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as his love interest Ramona Flowers, and Kieran Culkin as Scott’s roommate Wallace Wells, captivated audiences when the film was released in 2010. O’Malley and Grabinski will also serve as executive producers, writers, and showrunners for the highly anticipated series. The animation will be brought to life by Tokyo-based anime studio Science SARU, known for their unique and cutting-edge animated projects.
