Côté-Méthot explains, “[1000 Times] is paradoxical; it has an upbeat sound, but the lyrics are heartbreaking. It’s like a little bubble within the project. ‘Aurélie’ was also like that, and there will be more. I think it’s fun to experiment with between-album releases.” Currently, Côté-Méthot is working on his album, which he hopes to release to the public in the fall of 2024. He emphasizes the importance of patient and careful execution, stating, “It’s a massive project with a unique concept, and I want to make sure I release it properly, with the right people. It’s a risk I’m taking, but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. I’m already further along than I ever imagined, so it’s all bonus from here.”

Originally from Arvida in the Saguenay region, Olivier Côté-Méthot has been living in Quebec City since 2016.
